Our Lionhead Fluffles

Lionhead Rabbits in Florida

Meet our Fluffle of Holland Lops in Florida! We love our sunshine and our kids are covered in freckles (it helps that one is a redhead). These holland lops are located in Bradenton, Florida near Sarasota and Lakewood Ranch off of 70 out east. Our rabbits grow up on our farm with our three kids (aged 9, 5 and 1) and various animals --including but not limited to a flock of parrots, cat, dog, goats, chickens and maybe a stray duck or two depending on what Tractor Supply has at any given time. Our rabbits are raised around our kids and our other pets and have been handled from a young age. There's not a day that goes by that our animal-loving son doesn't at some point have a random rabbit in his arms while wandering around. We are a closed rabbitry but are available to chat to discuss adopting a holland lop or netherland dwarf bunny at anytime. You can text us at 941-877-1132 or fill out a form to contact Fluffle Farm and we will be in touch.

Lionheads As Pets

Here are some basic facts about Lionheads as pets, they are a lovely small breed with big personality and high potential for Circle of Life references, Lion King songs to be sung in their presence and to be named Simba and Nala. Kidding of course, but I mean why not?

Dwarf Breed
Lionheads are a dwarf breed of rabbit, originally created by crossing a Swiss Fox rabbit with a Netherland Dwarf rabbit. The result is the mane gene which is what gives the lionhead it's lion-ish appearance.
Lionhead Weight
Lionheads weigh between 2.5 and 4 pounds full grown.
Temperament
Lionheads are friendly, good natured, social and smart little lions that hop. Their coat will require some extra combing and care, but overall they are very similar to the Holland Lop.
Life Span
Lionhead rabbits live about 7 to 9 years--if properly cared for! Some even live into their teens! Your vet can help you decide the best diet and health checks to make sure your bunny friend lives their life to the fullest!
